Our Beliefs

What we believe

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. ” II Timothy 3:16

About Jesus Christ:

We believe that Jesus Christ and God are one. Jesus was God incarnated in the flesh born of a virgin. He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. We believe Jesus is our great high priest who ever liveth to make intercession for all believers. We believe in His death, burial and resurrection, and that he’s coming back again!

About salvation:

We believe that the substituting death of Jesus Christ is the only hope for every single person. We believe all are sinners, that conviction of sin must be present before conversion is possible. We believe that it is by grace through faith and not of works which is the only way to have everlasting life.

About baptism:

We believe baptism is only scriptural when performed by a New Testament church, by immersing a professing believer in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost.

About the Lord’s Supper:

We believe in closed communion. That the Lord’s supper is a picture of the death of Christ. It is to be observed in a reverent manner. Failure to comply with scripture while observing this ordinance can result in serious consequences.

About the church:

We believe that a church is always a local, visible body of saved and baptized believers. That a church is never universal and never taught to be universal in any inspired scripture. That a church is an assembly with a mission to make Christians, baptize Christians and disciple Christians.

About spiritual gifts:

We believe that God is a wonder-working God. We believe God is sovereign and can have His will in any circumstance. We believe that the early church gifts were necessary in their time, but have ceased with completion of the scripture. We now have three powerful gifts from God: faith, hope and love. We believe these three gifts are powerful and sufficient for us to fulfill the Great Commission.

About the Holy Spirit:

We believe the Holy Spirit is God; the third person within the Godhead. He never glorifies himself, but Christ. He reproves the world of righteousness, sin and judgment. He seals the saints and dwells with them.

About scripture:

We believe that all scripture is breathed by God. That God divinely inspired men to pen His word, and not their own. We believe He promised to preserve His words. The Holy Bible is the completed and preserved word of God. We use the King James Version of the Holy Bible. We respect its superiority over all other English translations. We believe the KJV is superior in original language text, language translators, translation techniques and doctrine.

About love:

We believe love is the greatest command and spiritual gift. We love each and every person and want to help everyone we can spiritually, emotionally and physically. Love displays our discipleship and doesn’t exclude anyone.
